"Wear My Hat" by Mac Miller

Mac Miller. Bringing back the phrase: "Don't grow up to fast." or "Growing up way to fast." In a video promoting the snapback revolution, Mac Miller releases his second video off of Best Day Ever and shows that the snapback still has it good. Starting off at a lounge filled with fresh underagers, Miller is antsy to see his girl (mostly looks like Kim Kardashian in her teen years, but definitely a hired actress that looks twice Miller's age, but hey you never know: looks are deceiving) come through. Then when she does, she takes his hat and the track plays through. Miller comes back to his apartment and when the video begins to get spicy, it shows that Mac Miller is indeed having the Best Day Ever.

"Acura Integurl" by Frank Ocean

The smooth R&B portion of Odd Future, Frank Ocean, has been all the hype these days. A good hype though, reviews have been calling Ocean the R&B of the Future along with The Weeknd. Ocean was featured in Tyler, the Creator's new album Goblin on the track "She" and makes the track explicit in a sense of sexy than profanity. Ocean dropped his mixtape nostalgia, ULTRA on his Tumblr at the end of the cold winter months and today Def Jam has been hitting him for a proper release.

This video was unpredictable to many because Ocean decided to release a video for "Acura Integurl" instead of other fan favorites. In the video, Ocean drives his orange Acura NSX around the hills of (I would want to believe) California (where OFWGKTA from) and towards 1:40, they shoot Ocean doing what many people do behind the wheel: think out loud.

2011 Baron Wells Spring/Summer Lookbook ft. Toro y Moi

Baron Wells, known for their department of fine clothing, has released their new Spring/Summer lookbook featuring Toro y Moi aka Chazwick Bundick. The New York based company went for the simple look of Bundick getting dressed/ready for his day of conquering. Sophisticated as hell. Shot in the living room and bathroom, this apartment is not meant for the average Joe. I would love to know anyone who has a bear carpet in the middle of their living room.

Baron Wells, a New York-based clothing company, have teamed up with musician Toro y Moi aka Chazwick Bundick to create their latest lookbook. In terms of the collaboration, it actually works quite well, despite the fact that Bundick is simply modelling the clothes, as both the label and the musician have a minimal approach to what they do and create.
All clothes featured are now available to buy from the Baron Wells shop.

"Save The World" by Swedish House Mafia

They weren't kidding when they said: "You better let Atheist's take care of your pets."

In the latest video for a brand new single: "Save The World" the Mafia turns a different direction where animals save people. Getting attacked by muggers, the only way good guys escape muggers is by pets (pref. dogs, bulldogs, pugs, etc.) attack the enemy. Swedish House Mafia presents "Save The World."

The single was released on May 16th to die hard fans on iTunes so they can download the track. The track has been climbing iTunes charts and will be climbing Beatport's charts as well. The remix will follow up on June 13th but until then, discovering fans will be watching their video going the following: "What?"

SKYLMT Presents: Steven Jensen

Steven Jensen is killin it with his 26" fixed wheelset in this video presented by SKYMT. Last year, Jensen released a video with halfcabs and 180s in his new rims edit over at Locked Cog but this time he does it big. Filmed November 2010 in San Francisco, Jensen pulls off front mannies, reverse mannies, triple barspins, and pulling off a reverse skid grand finale. Simply shown that he's been improving a hella lot.

Music: Hippie Sabotage

Filmed by Colby Elrick and Colin Arlen and edited by Colby Elrick and Corbin Dahl.

"Lindisfame" by James Blake

Mr. Blake has done it again and when I mean again, I mean his weird videos. Although I do enjoy them, they have either floating objects or completely shaken after an earthquake, the track goes well with the video. In his video for "Lindisfame," James is singing along in the video while others are computing some weird UK shit onto a girl. Hints of blood are shown in the video (legs, head, nose bleed) and the laughter, piano playing, and the conversations brings together a memory.

The video kind of reminds me of a hipster summer camp. It might just be me but I would feel like this is what the hip kids would do if they had no talent in organize sports. Also they're form of getting hurt would be to not do anything and randomly bleed from their noses. Although at the end the girl  it looks like she's about to leave the neighborhood to go to summer camp, I think she's off to go home. Home, to do more weird voo doo, sprinkle blue fairy dust, cut belly holes in shirts, and do more interpretive dancing.
Sometimes I feel like music videos intentionally have a different meaning than the artist's orignal intention when writing the lyrics for the song. However, in this case I don't think that's true. I think both the video and lyrics have the same meaning, It's just the lyrics seem to be more personal (and relevant to the listener) where the video seems to be more bizarre.
-Michael Henry

Mr. Blake has done it again.

HBTV Presents: Pow Wow Hawaii 2011 Part I

In an idea that came to fruition in the beginning of 2010 in Hong Kong, POW WOW was created as an exhibition of creative talents which stressed more so the background and development of art. As opposed to the often seen focus on the finished product, POW WOW set forth in giving the public access to artists in their element as they went to work on their respective pieces. In this series, we take a look at POW WOW 2011 which took place in founder Jasper Wong’s native Hawai’i and the comprehensive process that surrounded the event. While Hawai’i has had its fair share of creative output, POW WOW has represented the island’s most concentrated effort to help push and build the local artistic community. A Kickstarter page has recently been started in anticipation of next year’s 2012 event, and donations can be made at kickstarter.com/projects/jasperwong/pow-wow-hawaii-2012.
We bring you Part 1 of our series on POW WOW Hawai’i 2011 which took place earlier this year in February. The multi-day event offered a number of sights and sounds as an international group of artists each went about creating their artwork amidst an open environment.

Мишка Summer 2011 Lookbook [Teaser Video]

Мишка released a teaser for their 2011 summer line! The video is an upcoming preview of the summer lookbook featuring friends of indie bands and well known DJ's. Including in the preview are: 12th Planet, Diplo with Lil’ Diplo aka Diaperlo, The ’87 Stick Up Kids, Nathan from Wavves, The Glitch Mob, Nadastrom, Tearist, Congorock, HEALTH and Pictureplane.

Mishka also notes about the "Nuke 'Em" cap: You may notice our "Nuke 'Em" cap at the start of the video, on 12th Planet. The cap was designed over a year ago, and the lookbook and this video were shot before recent events in Japan. I know we've been known to push the boundaries of good taste, but we couldn't in good conscious release it after the tragedies that have befallen Japan. In the past week we have worked with New Era to destroy the entire run.

Pitchfork.tv Presents: Tunnelvision ft. Tyler the Creator

Tyler the Creator is about to (hell, already) be a new face or person that young people look up to. Tyler knows what he wants and how he determines his way to reach his goals is by working hard and by not letting anyone get in his way. In Pitchfork's original series of interviews, they managed to sit Tyler down for once and give a straight up interview. Contributors Yours Truly, interviewed Tyler (had Hodgy from OFWGKTA appear as well) to talk about his musical beginnings and how he arrived at where he is now.

In this installment, Tyler talks about how he's going to die, how he hated playing organized sports, and how he asked his mother what he wanted for Christmas: a piano. This is Tyler, the Creator: Growing up Goblin.

Interview With Odd Future’s Manager: Christian Clancy

Odd Future's manager Christian Clancy has been interviewed by Allindstrom.com and in this interview, Clancy discusses how he came up as a manager for underground/mainstream artists. I always thought Odd Future would have someone part of their crew as a manager for them since every one has contribute in someway of getting them through the process. In the interview, Clancy states he has gone through quite a few genres of music including country to get where he's at now. Clancy also talks about how he manages Odd Future without becoming mainstream and how he manages to make them stay underground.

Introducing: The Lonely Forest

There are many bands out there that have that soft sound when they play. Some have light guitars, light drums and low bass, or some bands have loud instruments when they play but with a soft vocalist when they come to a break. There are many bands out there who calls their genre is indie but if it's every beginnings of a band that starts off as a DIY band aren't they sort of .. indie? Death Cab for Cutie, a band that has begun since 1997 has been picked up because each individual track was recorded so shitty by themselves that when labels found them, they needed to become signed and get their recordings much better. But I'm not hear to talk about Death cab. I'm hear to talk about Chris Walla's latest signing's to his label Trans, an imprint of Atlantic Records, The Lonely Forest.

Bridge Burners

Me and Chris Brown have something in common. We both have a good taste in fitted hats. I have spotted Chris Brown wearing a fitted hat (first tried to see if it was a snapback but nope) in his new release video for "Spend It All." The video is based about how Brown is worried that he may blow all his money at the strip clubs but when I mean worried I mean relief. He'll get over spending all his money for the day at the clubs and probably do it all again.

Is this a custom made fitted? If not wear can you find it? Would love to get my hands on this.

Dig Up the Dead by Mansions

Mansions, a band that is conducted by frontman Christopher Browder came out with his third album "Dig Up the Dead" off Burning House/King Bones Records.

I specifically love this band because of emotion. Not like most emo bands that just 'sing your heart out' or 'spill your heart out' but for mostly 'singing your heart out in a mature .. real way.' His way of trying to survive as a band in the world is tough, but since he has been dropped off labels (Doghouse) Christopher has been a DIY band by releasing his b-sides and getting just the right public to recognize his music.

Aloe Blacc Needs a Dollar

We would have never knew who Aloe Blacc until he caught a break by becoming the theme song for "How To Make It In America" and luckily not the them song for "The Apprentice." Aloe Blacc released his album containing the track "I Need a Dollar" called Good Things back in 2010 and ever since then people cannot get the track out of their heads.

Making Moves: Dan Centrone

Philadelphia contains many film students that are going to college to become somebody in the film industry. Obviously to one day direct the film of their dreams, you have to go through a couple stages to become the best. While studying film is enjoyable .. you film a couple music videos, direct a couple movies, win a grammy and continue to do what you do best, in reality, it's not always going to be like that young Spielberg.

Working hard on his independent films and music videos, Dan Centrone, is a film student striving to become an entrepreneur in his own film business as a director. Lately, the last music video he dropped was from upcoming rapper MT:

"Light Up" by MT

"Get By" by Greg Falatek

Cloths: Cole Mohr wears Fresh Melt Water

Cole Mohr, model from Houston, Texas is wearing Fresh Melt Water's previous line, features The Drip tee which has Macaulay Culkin drooling. Culkin and Mohr look vaguely similar and I'm pretty sure when Mohr was young he did some hype Home Alone shit and got into some trouble through his teen years. Mohr is famously known for modeling for GQ, Vogue, H&M, Dazed and Confused, and W Magazine.

What I'm listening to: J. Cole's "Friday Night Lights" Mixtape

"In The Morning" by J. Cole Ft. Drake

November 12th, 2010. J. Cole released his third mixtape, Friday Night Lights, and from now till then I can't get enough of this twenty track mixtape. Featuring Drake, Wale, and Omen on the bill, J. Cole decides to be on a more relaxed vibe aside from those artists. I compare Friday Night Lights to mostly Drake's latest release Thank Me Later, and all of J's previous mixtapes to Drake's previous ones as well.

Review: The Adjustment Bureau

The Adjustment Bureau. Directed by George Nolfi, written by George Nolfi and Phillip K. Dick. Based on the short story, Adjustment Team, who would have thought this movie was a science-fiction-thriller romance? It's more like a romance for politic nerds who needs some excitement in their day. Starring Matt Damon (MAAAT DAMMONN) and Emily Blunt, the film takes place in downtown New York. David Norris (Damon) runs for senator of NY, meets famous dancer, Elise Sellas and instantly, they fall in love. Happily ever after?

Nope. They suddenly enter the Matrix.

James Blake announces U.S. tour dates!

"Limit To Your Love" by James Blake

James Blake just released his new self-titled album and I must say, it's the calmest shit I ever listened to with earthquaking bass. The album also has a touch of beautiful, laid on every track (God's shit) and fans of his can't get enough. Born in the UK, the electric composer considers himself dubstep. After learning this, I guess there is a lot of different sides to dubstep now.

Before releasing his self-titled, Blake released a couple EP's that were Pitchfork and BBC gold. I recommend that when you listen to "Limit to your Love" above, turn the bass speakers all the way up. You're room, cubicle, parent's basement, will shake.

I consider you to listen to Jamie XX as well.

Dates after the jump!

"French" by Tyler the Creator of OFWGKTA Remix by Toro Y Moi

"French" by Tyler The Creator (Remixed by Toro Y Moi)

Tyler the Creator of Odd Future gets remixed by Toro Y Moi. You can hear behind Tyler's vocals that Toro Y Moi touched it up and turned this single gold. Donald Glover calls this PAP (Play at Parties) but I say that it's a great track to just kick back and listen to Tyler bitch about life and how he's a young boy doing coke. Go, Tyler. Go.

Let's grab a cup of Coffee

Around the world, there is someone either smoking a cigarette or drinking a cup of coffee or it's both. All we know is that in doing these things, someone either is speaking to a significant other, friend, or to themselves. Useful information, petty talk, drama, stories, screenplays, and plans are some subjects they might strike up in conversations. With themselves, they may be planning future goals, facing dilemas, or plan what tomorrow has to come. All we know is that the conversation is being focused while under the two physiological needs of life.

My name is Rashad and I am usually out and about:

Bringing you topics on what goes on in our lives, Coffee and Cigs will provide you with posts dealing on what me and some friends would like to talk about. Whether it's sports, money, life, music, or news, we just don't want you to shut the fuck up. Unless you're that kid who's really annoying, then please. Shut the fuck up.

Here's to new beginning's with Coffee and Cigs. Just try not to burn yourself.
